
Young rider ( 10 - 18 ) equestrian holidays are our speciality at Mullingar Equestrian Centre. Guests are welcome to partake in our weekly programme... the usual stay is anything from two to four weeks. We like our guests where possible to arrive on a sunday as our programme commences each monday. Accommodation is on site with 2 - 4 guests in a room. Bed linen towels etc are provided.
English Lessons
There is an option of one hour/day formal English language lessons in small classes for foreign students. The emphasis is on spoken English and gaining confidence to use the English the children may have already learned at school.
Evening Activities
Supervised evening activities include swimming in the nearby indoor swimming pool, tennis, pitch and putt, bowling, basketball, barbeque, cinema and videos.
New for 2006:
Newly installed Tennis Court on site available to all residents during their stay. Also a Jacuzzi and Sauna to relax tired muscles after your fun filled day!
Assessments and Certificates
At the end of the week there is an assessment, followed by a prizegiving and presentation of certificates. Each student will receive a Certificate of Achievement in accordance with their performance during the week.

Prices include airport transfers by taxi if arriving on Saturday or Sunday, children will be met on arrival at Dublin Airport.

Equitation Programme
Following assessment the children are divided into groups of 7-10 based on their level of riding. They ride each morning and afternoon, and follow a progressive programme of flatwork, jumping and leisure riding, showjumoing and cross country. They take care of the horses and ponies and participate in the general activities of the yard. during the week there are hacks to the lake, mounted games and competitions.

Riding Boots - short or long boots or shoes with a raised heel (runners are not permitted)
Riding Helmet - to current standards or you can loan one from the centre
Body Protector - for Show-jumping and crosscountry

There is a washer and dryer in the centre but only for emergencies, pack enough clothes to last you the duration of your stay. Towels and bedlinen are provided.

FIVE DAY / FOUR NIGHT RESIDENTIAL PONY CAMPS
June/August, Monday- Friday 500 Euro. These are pony camps and they do not include travelling expenses, or any English lessons. They include riding lessons in jumping, cross-country, dressage, stable management, fun and games, accommodation and meals.
