International Entry Guidelines
 
 
  • Global Entry Fee ( to include stabling ) €330 .plus €7.80 MCP  This account must be settled with the Mullingar International Show secretary before International Competition 6 on Monday June 2nd 2008 . Riders that cannot travel must cancel with the OC before May 23rd after which date the rider is liable for the full entry fee .
 
  • An international rider may not ride more than three horses in International Events 1-5 and one horse in the grand prix ( Competition 6)
  • A rider may enter up to three horses
 
  • International horses may not compete in National classes at the show
 
  • An international rider may only ride one horse in competition 6 , this horse must compete in at least one other international class ( Competition 1-5)
 
  • Trot up for all international horses will be on Friday May 30th from 4 to 6 pm. This trot up is compulsory.
 
 
  • Declarations close at 6 pm the evening before the following days event.
 
  • Vaccinations must be up to date
 
  • The show reserves the right to change the jumping schedule in any way they seem fit during the show

Mullingar International Show will take place in Mullingar Equestrian Centre which is located on the Athlone road two miles from the centre of Mullingar . Mullingar is a lively bustling town with lots of good shops, restaurants, pubs , hotels, bed & breakfasts and night clubs

 

Directions by road

From Dublin : Take the 3rd Exit off the N4 at Mullingar ( Castle pollard /Town Centre ) and follow signs for Athlone road from the hospital

From Sligo /Longford : Take the 1 st exit into Mullingar town and follow the signs for Athlone from the hospital

From Kilbeggan head into Tyrellspass and follow signs into Mullingar . At the Texaco/ Dalys garage take a left down through the Business park and head for the Athlone road .

There is also an excellent Train service from Dublin and Sligo

International Rules

 

International Global Entry Fee €330 per horse including stabling 

plus M.C.P fee of €7.80 per international rider

( Medical control Programme)

 

·        An international rider may not ride more than 2 horses in any one international class and not more than three horses at the event .

·        Each international horse may compete twice a day. International horses cannot jump in a national competition

 

·       ·        Trot up for all international horses will be on Friday May 30th 4 pm to 6pm. This trot up is compulsory

 

·        Declarations close at 6pm the evening before the following days event

·        Vaccinations must be up to date

 

 
 
Entries
  • All entries must be pre-entered for listed classes ( see show schedule) . Late entries will not be accepted
  • Entries must be made through our on line booking system
  • Entries will not be accepted without the accompaniment of current credit card details and payment must be in full.
  • Non runners who cancel in writing 24 hours before the class commences will be refunded with holding a €10 booking fee.
  • The management retains the right to refuse or accept an entry
  • Jumping tickets to be handed in when declaring to the secretary`s office
  • Substitutions are permitted at the show if there is either the same owner or rider
 
Stabling( National)
  • Temporary Stabling available , €90 for the duration of the show . All stabling must be pre booked through our on line booking system .
  • Stabling must be booked and paid for in advance
  • Stable cancellations must be made in writing to info@mullingarequestrian before May 23rd. No refunds after this date
  • Stables will be allocated by show staff
  • GATES close at 9 pm SHARP and horses will not be allowed to arrive into the show grounds after 9pm
  • Scooters, Quads and all MPV,s are strictly prohibited
  • Management will do their best to accommodate special stable requests but this cannot always be guaranteed
  • The Show Organisers will not be responsible for any accident, theft, damage to person, vehicle or property that may occur whilst stabling on the grounds
 
Every one who enters for Mullingar must accept that no responsibility or liability is attached whatsoever to the organisers , promoters, or landowners in relation to any injury that you , your family, any horse/pony over which you have control ,or any third party may sustain, whether it arises our of any act of negligence, nuisance ,breach of Statutory duty, breach of contract or misrepresentation on part of the promoters, organisers or landowners or in any matter arising
 
Show organisers reserve the right to reject or refuse any entry or to alter the schedule as they seem fit. Times or Arenas are subject to change.
