YOUNG RIDER PROGRAMME

This equestrian programme is specifically designed to cater for the young rider ( 10 to 18 years old ). Our young rider programme runs throughout the summer months commencing each monday. This is the ideal opportunity for the horse loving teenager to improve their riding, knowledge and care of horses in a friendly homely environment. For the over seas visitors there is also an opportunity to partake in 5 hours English tuition each week. Extra english tuition is available on request. Summer holiday programme for Young Riders (10-18 Years) Objectives: To Improve Riding, Knowledge and care of horses To practise and improve their spoken English. Riders are introduced t irish culture, make new friends and have an enjoyable holiday experience. The children live at the centre and are fully supervised. HOLIDAY PROGRAMMES FOR ALL AGES AND RIDING ABILITIES

editBeginners, Intermediate and Competition Riders and even those who have not ridden for a while - will all enjoy a stay at Mullingar Equestrian Centre. Instruction is pupil centred, and designed to progress the rider on from his/her present level. Following assessment you will be offered a programme of lessons and pleasure riding.

 

SHOW JUMPING

Both showjumping and cross country - is our specialty, and at Mullingar we make it feel so easy! Beginners quickly become confident, novices make rapid progress, and intermediate and open riders learn the finer points. We recommend you come for at least a week, preferably longer. We have an unaffiliated show most weeks at the equestrian centre (normally on Fridays) in which our guests are welcome to participate as part of their holiday programme. There are mini, midi, maxi leagues during the Autumn, Winter and Spring Months. Email us for details or view the Calendar. Guests may also register with the Show Jumping Association and take part in official Showjumping competitions. During the summer there are two to three registered shows each week in the locality and we travel to many of them. Cost, approx. €40 - €80

Weekend or Short Break

Guests on a weekend or short break can choose from lessons, gentle hacks in the fields or to the lake, try out our cross country course - conveniently located in the fields behind the equestrian centre- and perhaps take part in a Show or a game of Polocrosse.
